The Simple One is Simple Energy, a Bangalore-based new startup company. It has first electric scooter that aims to takes the fight to the Ola S1 Pro, Ather 450X 3rd generation and Bajaj Chetak electric scooter.
Simple One Energy is expected to launch in India in October 2022 in the expected price range of INR 1,10,000 to to 1,40,000. Currently available bikes and scooter which are similar to One are TVS iQube st, OLA S1 Pro and BGauss D15 electric scooters. Another bike similar to One is Suzuki Burgman Street Electric which is launching in October 2022 in India.
Simple Energy will get a portable battery pack weighing just over 6 kg, and can be removed from the electric scooter to be carried indoors for re-charging. The battery will be a 4.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, which will provide a claimed range of 236 km in Eco mode, top speed of 100 kmph, and 0 to 50 kmph acceleration in 3.6 seconds. But actual range of this scooter is 203 in eco mode. The Simple One will have a mid-drive electric motor, with a futuristic design.
The Simple One can be booked from the company's official website, and the pre-bookings are open pan-India, and the amount is refundable, the company said in an official announcement. When production of the Simple One begins, the pre-orders will be given priority delivery, the company added.
Simple Energy is offering the electric scooter in a choice of four colors- Brazen Black, Azure Blue, Grace White and Namma Red.
The list of features on the Simple One has 4 riding modes- Eco, Ride, Dash and Sonic. It also gets a 7-inch touchscreen with 4G and Bluetooth connectivity along with full of the LED lighting. The scooter also offers listening music and call control, navigation, vehicle tracking and a tyre pressure monitoring system. Other features like find-my-bike, and geo-fencing. Besides this, the Simple One also big space a 30-litre underseat storage.
